Spring Trip 2025

Virginia Beach/Williamsburg VA

April 24 – 27, 2025

The MRHS Music Department will be traveling to Virginia Beach/Williamsburg to participate in a music festival sponsored by EPN Travel’s Festivals of Music™. The purpose of the trip is to perform for a nationally acclaimed panel of judges, receive feedback and an onstage clinic with the adjudicators, compete with musical ensembles from all over the nation, hear performances of students from other schools, build and foster camaraderie among our musicians, and most importantly, to build on the outstanding reputation of the Marriotts Ridge Music Department.  This trip is a team building activity that the students will remember long after high school.  We will be traveling on Atlantic Coast Charters luxury motor coach buses and staying at the Delta Hotels Virginia Beach Waterfront. In order for our ensembles to be at their best, we need ALL students to participate. This is an HCPSS approved trip. Students must be allowed ample time to make up missed work and assignments in their other classes as they are technically “in school” during field trips.

Safety is paramount on all school trips. All school system policies and school rules are in effect for the duration of the trip. Howard County Board of Education field trip policy requires that students attend the entire field trip. In the rare occasion where the student has an emergency or a conflicting event, they may seek approval from the Marriotts Ridge administration to arrive late or leave early. It is the parent’s responsibility to personally deliver or pick up their student in these circumstances. Parent chaperones must be present for the entire trip including the bus ride to and from our destination. More detailed information about chaperoning, and the trip itself will be available closer to our departure date.

Payment Amounts and Due Dates:

Payment #1- $200 - November 4, 2024

Payment #2 - $250 - December 9, 2024

Payment #3 - $250 - January 24, 2025

Final Payment - TBD - March 3, 2025

10:00 pm Room Checks, Bedtime
